VACANCY POSITION FOR PROPERTY CLERK ARCHDIOCESE OF SUVA

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Suva is seeking to appoint a dynamic and energetic person who is goal driven and achievement oriented to take on the role of PROPERTY CLERK within the PROPERTY DEPARTMENT in the CURIA office. The successful applicant should be a committed Catholic with an enthusiasm for Property Development.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Property Clerk shall assist the Property Officer to achieve the set targets of the Archdiocese of Suva, its social and business objectives whilst maintaining services to all Parish Priests and other customers. The role is on providing support and general administration on all Church properties.
JOB DESCRIPTION
– Maintain a Property Assets Register and responsible for the safekeeping of all
– Titles owned or leased by the Archdiocese.
– Ensure that relevant leases and rents are paid in a timely manner according to
agreements/contracts
– Regularly review of leases by providing a report on the current status of all leases
and rents to ensure compliance with agreements/contracts, crown land and native leases etc.
– To assist with management of all properties and write accurate and reliable reports.
– To assist with administration including banking or other errands.
– Any other work as may be required from time to time in relation to Properties and projects and is able to work alone at times in carrying out field inspections and monitoring of Archdiocesan properties.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
The person must be:
Be honest, reliable and disciplined.
Willingness to learn and be part of a team.
Familiar with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel & Power point etc)
Adequate knowledge of property dealings, conveyancing and clerical works.
Be able to work and liaise with relevant Government agencies and Statutory bodies in matters regarding any property issues concerning the Church.
Know how to manage cartels and vehicles.
Possess a valid Driving License and relevant up to date ID.
