World Mission Sunday – October 19, 2025

World Mission Sunday is celebrated each year on the penultimate Sunday of October—this year on October 19, 2025. Instituted by Pope Pius XI in 1926, it is a day dedicated to the universal call of all baptized Christians to share in the missionary work of the Church. Rooted in Christ’s command to “Go into all the world and proclaim the Good News” (Mark 16:15), this day emphasizes our responsibility to support and pray for the Church’s mission in places where the Gospel is still being proclaimed for the first time.
