Feast of the Holy Souls 

The Feast of the Holy Souls, also known as All Souls’ Day (November 2nd), is a day in the Catholic Church dedicated to prayer and remembrance for the faithful departed who are undergoing purification in Purgatory. Theologically, it is rooted in the belief in the Communion of Saints—that the Church is united in Christ across heaven, earth, and purgatory. On this day, the Church offers Masses and prayers for these souls, imploring God’s mercy that they may be cleansed of sin and welcomed into the fullness of eternal life in Heaven.
